Job Description/Overview:

As the Head of Sales at Runway, you will be responsible for building out and leading Runway’s GTM (Go-To-Market) function. You will work closely with various teams across the company, including creative, product, tech, legal, and finance, to drive revenue growth and establish Runway as a leader in its industry. The role reports directly to the CEO and requires an experienced and entrepreneurial Sales leader who can develop unique GTM strategies and lead a diverse team to success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Build and lead a world-class, diverse sales team: recruit, interview, hire, coach, and mentor team members.

– Position the team for exponential revenue growth by building a sales engine and employing creative strategies.

– Act as a thought leader and advisor to C-Level executives on the importance of modernizing businesses through Generative AI.

– Hold overall responsibility for achieving ARR and revenue targets, with a strong focus on speed, accuracy, and meeting deadlines.

– Manage 10-12 key accounts, building relationships, developing strategies, and expanding the usage of Runway’s platform among these customers.

– Collaborate with creative, product, engineering, partnerships, legal, and finance teams to execute strategic programs and projects that drive customer growth.

– Monitor the industry landscape to contribute to product roadmap decisions and other company strategies.

– Set function-wide goals and implement tracking systems to consistently measure and convey progress.

 

Qualifications needed:

– Education: Not specified

– Experience: 

  – Experience leading Commercial teams and contributing to the hyper-scale of fast-growing, high-performance companies.

  – Experience selling platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and/or software-as-a-service (SaaS) at a product-led growth company.

  – Consistent achievement of revenue targets beyond expectations.

  – Ability to design and execute complex deal strategies, inclusive of legal, product/technical requirements, and pricing.

  – Experience gathering and processing complex market intelligence.

  – A resourceful, “figure it out” mindset.

  – Ability to excel in fast-paced environments and quickly build relationships from initial contact to ongoing communication.
