Job Description/Overview:
We have a fulltime opportunity for a polished Assistant Front of House Manager to work closely alongside the FOH Manager to lead a team of hospitality professionals. You will assist in overseeing FOH operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery to all members and guests across the dining area, bar and event spaces. Key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising FOH staff including scheduling, performance management and training
- Greeting and interacting with members and guests, always addressing inquiries or concerns promptly
- Assisting in the planning and execution of club events including tournaments, private events and member functions (some late nights included)
- Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with suppliers
- Overseeing opening and/or closing procedures
- Assisting with financial management including managing budgets, controlling costs and maximising revenue opportunities
Qualifications needed
- A current Managers Certificate
- Advanced food & beverage knowledge including wine
- Sound understanding of workplace health & safety
- Excellent communication skills – written, phone and face to face
- Some knowledge about golf would be an advantage (to build rapport with members)
- Flexible with availability across a 7 day roster (some evenings/late nights required for events)
- Hold NZ residency, citizenship or unrestricted working rights in NZ – sponsorship not available
