Job Description/Overview:
Canonical is seeking a Senior Manager for Marketing Analytics to lead the growth engineering team, oversee the marketing technology stack, and drive commercial results through data and technology. This role involves optimizing lead scoring, developing web analytics and SEO practices, and ensuring marketing data cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and marketing, with a strong analytical mindset and experience in advanced marketing analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the growth engineering team including data analysts, performance marketers, and marketing automation specialists
– Design and manage Canonical’s marketing technology stack
– Own reporting and analytics throughout the customer lifecycle
– Develop and track OKRs and conversion rates
– Optimize lead scoring, lead flow, and cadences
– Develop web analytics and SEO practices
– Drive ROI optimization and ensure data cleanliness
– Support an experimentation culture
– Collaborate with teams across Canonical to build data solutions
– Support execution excellence through training, tools, and documentation
Qualifications needed:
– Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering
– Strong analytical skills and project management experience
– Knowledge in advanced marketing analytics, coding/scripting languages (Python, JS), and databases (SQL)
– Exceptional management experience
– Experience with martech stacks, preferably open source software
– Proven ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders
– Willingness to travel up to 2-4 times a year
Experience:
– Experience in managing marketing analytics projects and driving commercial success
Skills:
– Advanced web analytics and SEO practices
– Experience in building a culture of experimentation
