Role Overview:
Kalepa is a VC-backed, remote-friendly startup delivering transformative software for the commercial insurance industry. The company is seeking an exceptional Sales Development Representative (SDR) with 1+ years of sales or business development experience. The SDR will identify potential opportunities, initiate contact with prospects, and qualify them through various channels. The role is integral to Kalepa’s commercial growth, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with prospects.
Responsibilities:
– Identify potential clients and key decision-makers within target industries
– Conduct outbound prospecting activities (cold calling, email outreach, social platforms) to generate interest and qualify leads
– Engage with prospects to understand their business needs and effectively communicate Kalepa’s value proposition
– Build strong connections with prospects, guiding them through the sales process
– Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions in the CRM system
– Collaborate with the commercial team and leadership to ensure a steady flow of prospects and a strong sales pipeline
– Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline generation
Requirements:
– 1+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the SaaS space
– Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage effectively with senior executives
– Proven track record of exceeding targets in a fast-paced sales environment
– Strong prospecting and cold calling skills
– Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Passionate and deeply motivated with a strong will to win
– Open, frank, and respectful communication
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience in FinTech and/or generating leads with insurers
– Proficiency in CRM software and other sales productivity tools
