Job Description/Overview:
Grada Recruitment have partnered with a leading Tier 1 Commercial Construction company in Wellington to help them secure a Project Engineer to assist with a high profile Commercial project!
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial / Industrial construction projects from $100M – $300m+
- Works include steel structure, concrete packages, piping, mechanical and electrical systems
- Coordinate and oversee all engineering disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.)
- Plan, organise, and manage the site activities and resources, including staff, equipment, and materials.
- Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Oversee steel structure erection, concrete works, mechanical systems installation.
- Coordinate cabling, piping, and equipment installation activities.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide engineering solutions.
Qualifications needed
- Must have 3 – 5 years’ experience working as a Project Engineer on medium / large Commercial Construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of steel, concrete, mechanical / electrical systems, piping, and cabling.
- Proficient in engineering design software.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Degree or relevant qualification in Engineering / Construction Management or related field.

- Base salary of $130K – $150K
- 6% KiwiSaver contribution (ontop of salary).
