Job Description/Overview:

La Posada is looking for a full time Laundry Attendant to join our dynamic Environmental Services department.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick-up soiled articles from residents and/or campus depositories
- Weighs, sorts and loads articles into washers.
- Record weights on appropriate forms
- Starts machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
- Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them into dryers for measured time cycles
- Iron articles using mangle iron, or hand iron as necessary.
- Folds and coordinates cleaned laundry and linen
- Distributes clean linen and/or personal laundry to appropriate residents/patients and departments.
- Cleans and maintains the laundry and/or linen rooms.
- Is responsible for occasional housekeeping in the assigned area.
- Maintains communication with contracted personnel responsible for maintenance of machines and chemicals.
- Demonstrates personal responsibility and respect for self and others.
- Adheres to all Department policies, procedures, and mandatory requirements.
- Communicates professionally and courteously with residents, patients, staff, guests, and family members.
- Follows all Infection Control practices, including hand washing techniques, standard precautions, isolation precautions, and safety precautions.
- Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates excellence in customer service.
- Ability to do work on his/her own with normal supervision.
- Able to adjust to changing situations and needs.
- Participates in other duties, as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time, which you are qualified for and can reasonably be expected to complete with minimal orientation.

- High School or better
Experience:
