Job Description/Overview:
We have a great opportunity for a reach operator looking to grow into a crane operator role, our client one of New Zealand’s biggest metals suppliers. Operating across NZ however, this role will be based in East Tamaki, Auckland. We’re seeking a Crane (Gantry) Operator.
This is a temp – perm role for day/afternoon/night shift, Monday-Friday (40+ hrs, 5 days per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Load & unload tables as per accepted procedure using overhead crane and/or by hand safely asking for help when required, making sure correct grade and thickness.
- Use the Crane/Forklift to move the parts around workshop.
- Perform duties in accordance with all safety procedures.
- Assist with any other workshop duties as requested by Foreman or Workshop Manager.
Qualifications needed
- Overhead Gantry Crane experience – a current ticket/licence would be an advantage.
- Basic to medium computer skills.
- Heavy lifting required.
- Good attention to detail.
- Work unsupervised.
- Osh forklift.
- Full License for F-endorsement requirement.
