Job Summary:
Join a family-run heavy haulage company with over 25 years of experience. As an HGV Mechanic/Fitter, you will maintain and repair HGVs and trailers, ensuring high standards of service and safety.
Responsibilities:
– Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers to DVSA standards
– Work on unit and trailer bodywork construction
– Handle auto-electrical systems and components
– Operate independently or as part of a team
– Maintain high reliability and flexibility
Qualifications and Skills:
– Basic mechanical engineering knowledge
– Experience with routine maintenance as required by DVSA
– Understanding of unit and trailer bodywork construction
– Familiarity with auto-electrical systems and components
– HGV license is desirable but not essential
– Good health and physical ability to perform duties
Working Hours:
– Full-time, permanent position
– 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
– Overtime available
Benefits:
– Competitive salary of £39,000 per year
