Job Description/Overview:
The Infants’ Daycare Worker will develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of infants and toddlers. Responsibilities include supervising and engaging children in activities, maintaining daycare equipment, and communicating with parents about their child’s progress.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assess children’s development and prepare tailored learning plans
– Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
– Develop and implement child-care programs
– Maintain daycare equipment and environment
– Engage children in activities and guide proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
– Observe and report on children’s development and behavior
– Supervise and coordinate activities with other educators
Qualifications Needed:
– Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years or equivalent experience
Qualifications Needed:
– Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
– Credentials:Child development worker (ECE level 2), Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
