Are you looking for student placement in the booming disability sector? Gain valuable real-life experience and skills to kick-start a career in the fast-growing and highly rewarding sector. As a student, you will be buddied up with a disability support worker in community access activities in our Roma Service.
Job Description/Overview:
You will have the opportunity to work alongside our disability support worker in supporting our customers in a variety of social experiences such as sports, arts and crafts,s and special activities including trivia, discos, cooking, singing, and day trips.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain real-life experience in the fast-growing disability sector
- Support customers in various social activities
- Opportunity for career progression within the organization
- Currently studying a Cert III in Individual Support or similar
- Ability to follow directions and work as an individual or as part of a team
- Social, friendly and easy going – great people skills are a must
- Compassionate nature
Qualifications needed:
Cert III in Individual Support
Experience:
- Hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children)
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities)
- Aged 18 years and over
- Open Drivers Licence (or on Green P Plates)
