Job Description/Overview

Key Responsibilities:
– Vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing, and repairs in accordance with First Bus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures.
– Full compliance with all HS&E legislation and Group Policies.
– Adherence to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
– Maintain and develop technical skills as required.
– The shift is a 5-day out of 7 on a rota.
Qualifications needed:
– A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds Level 1 & 2).
– Ability to multi-skill within an Engineering Environment.
– A flexible approach to working hours.
– Aptitude to develop others within the Engineering Team.
– Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.
– A PCV license is desirable; the ability to obtain a PCV license is essential.
Experience
Demonstrated experience in a similar role within an engineering environment.
Skills
– Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
– Good communication and teamwork abilities.
– Flexibility in working hours.

– Hourly Rate: £18.00 p/h (additional 20p per hour for PCV license holders from day 1).
– Additional training leading to up to £5k increase in salary upon completion of 10 training modules.
– Working Shift Patterns: 39 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 on a rotating shift including evenings and weekends.
