Job Description/Overview:
The City of Coffs Harbour is hiring multiple full-time mechanics for their workshop. The role involves the repair, servicing, and maintenance of light and heavy vehicles, plant, and equipment. You will also assist with arranging repair work, managing inventory, and completing documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
– Efficient and effective repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
– Assess and manage inventory levels
– Complete asset and service records
– Assist with arranging repair work and other duties as needed
Qualifications needed:
– Trade qualifications as a Motor Mechanic
– RTA vehicle inspection certificate
– WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
Experience:
– Experience in repairing and maintaining plant and vehicles
– Experience in welding and fabrication
Skills:
– Ability to complete tasks accurately and to high standards
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Capacity to work flexibly and be part of an on-call roster
