Job Description/Overview:
Are you an experienced, passionate leader in ECE who is looking for a new professional growth opportunity in Auckland?
Our client is looking looking for an enthusiastic manager for their beautiful centre in Remuera. This centre has a 82-license capacity, and amazing ratios of 1 -3 for under two’s and 1 -6 for over twos. The centre was recently renovated and has four learning spaces as well as an extensive outdoor area. Addtional facilities like a library and gym also enhance the learning enviroment.
Position Overview: As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our early childhood centre. Your role will include leadership of a passionate team of educators, maintaining regulatory compliance, fostering positive relationships with families, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational programs. You will play a pivotal role in creating a supportive and enriching environment where children can thrive
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership and guidance to the centre staff, promoting a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations, as well as adherence to our centre’s policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement innovative educational programs that align with the Early Childhood Curriculum (Te Whāriki) and cater to the individual needs of each child.
- Foster positive relationships with families, encouraging open communication and involvement in their child’s learning journey.
- Oversee administrative tasks including budget management, staff scheduling, and enrolment processes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational practices, making adjustments as necessary to enhance outcomes for children.
Qualifications needed
- ECE or Primary Teaching qualification or oversea equivalent (level 7 or above) & NZ valid teachers registration
- Proven experience in a leadership role within an early childhood setting, demonstrating strong management and organizational skills.
- Sound knowledge of early childhood practices, curriculum frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with staff, families, and the wider community.
