Newcrest Mining, now a part of Newmont, is a leading gold mining company with global operations. The Red Chris Mine is situated on the traditional territory of the Tahltan, and the company invites qualified applicants from local communities.
Job Details:
Pay: $40.98 per hour
Job Type:Permanent employment, Full-time
Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Rotation: Two weeks in, two weeks out (Fly In, Fly Out)

Key Responsibilities:
– Operate haul trucks (Cat 777, 785, and 793) in an open-pit mining environment.
– Follow established traffic patterns and avoid road hazards.
– Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections and complete daily equipment reports.
– Report unsafe mechanical conditions and maintain good housekeeping practices.
– Assist in general mine labor and other duties as required.
Qualifications Needed:
– Valid driver’s license.
– Experience in an open-pit mining environment preferred.
– High attention to detail and ability to work in various weather conditions.
Experience:
– Previous experience in open-pit mining is preferred.
Skills:
– Strong commitment to safe working practices.
– Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs and climb/access equipment.
– Team player with the ability to work independently.
Salary/Compensation:
– $40.98 per hour.
