Job Description/Overview:
To succeed as a tutor, you must
- be in Melbourne, Australia and have right to work in Australia
- have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or a current university student.
- have a current working with Children check card (WWC) & Police Check or willingness to obtain
- have an ABN or willing to apply one
- Demonstrate great understanding of Victorian curriculum and VCAA study design, especially a strong knowledge of the relevant subject matter and curriculum
- be reliable, able to work without supervision, punctual and have excellent personal presentation.
- have a passion for Mathematics and/or English and have the patience to work with primary or secondary school age students.
- have experiences in delivering programs to young people, such as teaching, tutoring and mentoring
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching students in 1 on 1 or a small group.
- Planning for classes
- Assigning and marking homework
- Communicate with parents and giving feedback on students’ lessons and progress
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure continuity in learning and support the integration of tutoring sessions.
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and educational best practices to enhance teaching methods and approaches.
