Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced Plumber for a full-time, on-site role at SMR Plumbing & Heating. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing & heating systems. This role requires interpreting blueprints and building codes to select, install, and maintain plumbing systems. Effective communication with the project manager and clients is essential, as the Plumber will be working on a variety of projects, including new construction, renovations, and maintenance of plumbing, heating & HVAC systems.
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Minimum of 4 years of experience in service, residential, and commercial properties.
– Registered journeyperson plumbing certification and license in BC is required.
– Backflow certificate is an asset.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
– Positive and professional attitude.
– Strong maintenance & repair skills.
– Ability to interpret blueprints and building codes to select, install, and maintain plumbing systems.
– Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex plumbing issues.
– Strong communication skills with the project manager, clients, and other trades on-site.
– Experience with gas fitting is a plus.
– Ability to lift heavy items and work in cramped spaces is required.
– Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
