About Us
Food Roll Sales (Niagara) Ltd is seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Truck Driver to transport frozen finished goods, primarily poultry products, in the Toronto area. This role involves operating a refrigerated double-axle truck with air brakes for short-haul trips. We value safety, punctuality, and professionalism in our drivers.
Job Responsibilities
Transport Goods: Safely transport frozen finished goods (mainly poultry products) locally within the Toronto area.
Compliance: Adhere to truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking) and company policies and procedures.
Route Planning: Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
Vehicle Inspection: Inspect trucks for mechanical items, safety issues, preventive maintenance, and conduct circle checks.
Documentation: Document kilometers traveled and retain fuel receipts.
Assistance: Assist the warehouse with loading and unloading trucks, receiving, and wrapping skids.
Requirements
Licenses: Class 3 or D Driver’s License with air brake (Z) endorsement.
Experience: Proven work experience as a truck driver (5 years or more).
Regulations Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record with no recent moving or driving violations.
Adaptability: Ability to handle unexpected situations such as traffic and weather conditions.
Equipment: Familiarity with HACCP is an asset but not essential. Steel toe boots required.
Health: Must pass a medical exam.
