Job Description
Jump at this rare opportunity to join a team of dedicated corporate treasury advisory professionals. Based in our Wellington office you will report to our senior Treasury professionals and work alongside a specialised team. We will depend on you to play a key role in providing corporate treasury, debt advisory and investment advisory support to a wide range of clients including corporate borrowers, importers and exporters and wholesale investors; nationwide. This role requires strong quantitative, financial analysis and problem solving skills to be used across our clients who regularly interact with the financial markets.
Key Responsibilities
- complete analysis of client treasury exposures and financial market risks
- carry out financial risk modelling of foreign exchange, interest rate, commodity price and credit markets and the impacts these may have on their businesses
- assist with the design, recommendation and implementation of client treasury strategies
- monitor client risk exposure positions
- regularly meet with clients to discuss their treasury risks and strategies
- work with and support our clients utilising our cloud-based PwC Treasury Platforms
- deliver on client requests relating to treasury policy design and implementation, financial market insights and hedging strategies.
Qualifications
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in economics, finance or similar discipline
- Ideally 2 – 3 years of work experience in corporate treasury or finance
- Passion for the financial markets
- Exposure to the domestic and global financial markets
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills. Google and microsoft suite. Power BI, SQL and Alteryx would be advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to fit into a highly focused team of professionals, motivated, and self-managed
- Strong analytical skills, logical reasoning and report writing skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, well-rounded with an ability to build trusted internal and client relationships
