About the Role:
As an AI Writing Evaluator (Tier 1), you will contribute your writing expertise to evaluate and improve AI-generated content. This is a remote, freelance opportunity with flexible hours, allowing you to work on your own schedule. Your main tasks will involve reviewing AI-produced text, ranking it based on quality, and providing feedback on its accuracy and relevance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate English text generated by AI, ranking responses for quality and relevance.
- Write and rewrite prompts and responses, which may involve research and fact-checking.
- Assess the factuality and accuracy of AI-generated text, offering constructive feedback.
- Provide detailed explanations of the strengths and weaknesses of various AI-generated responses.
Desired Expertise:
- Professional writing or editing experience (copywriting, journalism, technical writing, editing, etc.).
- Enrollment or completion of an associate degree or higher in a writing-related field.
- Strong grasp of English grammar, spelling, and style, combined with logical reasoning skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to evaluate and communicate feedback clearly.
Payment:
- Pay rates for core project work are USD $15 per hour (for US-based workers).
- Rates for other regions:
- UK: Estimated up to £11/hr
- Canada: Estimated up to $20 CAD/hr
- Rates may vary based on location, experience, and specific project needs. Certain projects may offer incentive payments.

- This is a 1099 contract position with Outlier, meaning it is a freelance role and does not provide employment benefits.
