Job Description/Overview:
Horizon Recuperative Care is seeking a dedicated Caregiver for its facility in El Monte, CA. This facility provides care for the underserved community, offering a compassionate environment aimed at improving lives through high-quality healthcare. The Caregiver will assist residents with daily activities, provide emotional support, and ensure a safe and clean living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.)
Aid in mobility, transfers, and positioning
Assist with medication management under supervision
Monitor resident health, reporting changes to appropriate personnel
Engage residents in social activities for mental stimulation
Maintain a clean and organized living environment
Offer emotional support and companionship
Qualifications:
Prior caregiving or support experience preferred
Experience in settings such as homeless shelters is a plus
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and handle challenging situations sensitively
Experience:
Experience as a caregiver or in a supportive role is a plus.
