Position: Senior Support Worker

Job Description/Overview:
The Senior Support Worker is responsible for supervising the performance of support workers and ensuring that care services are delivered to the required standards. The role involves acting as a role model for other home carers, ensuring professionalism, and providing direct care services to clients. An SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care is preferred, and a valid driving license with access to a car is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the performance of support workers as directed by the Homecare Coordinator/Manager.
Ensure service delivery meets the needs and expectations of service users, in line with contracts.
Conduct monitoring reviews and participate in spot checks as required by the Operations Manager.
Participate in the “out of hours” rota and ensure learning and development processes are followed.
Perform homecare duties, including preparing meals, assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Assist with shopping, pension collection, and toilet duties, as well as incontinence management.
Work closely with the service manager and care team to prioritize the wellbeing of both the support team and service users.
Qualifications:
SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care (preferred)
Experience:
Experience in caregiving, such as supporting older adults, children, or personal family care, is advantageous.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage and supervise staff
Compassion and dedication to high standards of care

Working hours are flexible, with a salary of £24,862.
