Job Description/Overview
As a Residential Senior Carer at Barchester care home, you’ll cater to the various needs of our residents, enabling us to deliver quality, person-centered care and support. In this role, you will lead a team of care staff, overseeing training, supervision, and delegation of duties. You will support with medication management, updating resident care plans, and liaising with GP’s, district nursing teams, and residents’ families. Above all, you will respect the dignity and preferences of our residents, contributing to a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of care staff, providing training and supervision.
Administer and order medication and maintain accurate resident care plans.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families for resident welfare.
Create an engaging and supportive environment for residents.
Ensure compliance with care standards and contribute to quality assurance.
Required Experience and Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
Previous experience in a residential care setting.
Proven leadership skills and ability to make decisions to support resident wellbeing.
Experience
Experience in a similar role within a residential care environment is essential.
