Job Description/Overview:
The Construction Surveillance Technician-Build Lead (CST-BL) will provide security-related expertise and oversight at construction sites, ensuring compliance with security protocols and regulations. This role involves training and supervising staff, conducting inspections, and managing security vulnerabilities associated with construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expertise to the Site Security Coordinator and authority teams for facility completion.
Supervise and train onsite Construction Surveillance Technicians (CST).
Conduct security inspections throughout the project duration.
Audit and analyse construction drawings to identify vulnerabilities.
Conduct investigations of anomalies across construction divisions.
Oversee the security of construction and personnel activities.
Provide technical knowledge for secure compartmentalized information facility (SCIF) operations.
Draft construction site security plans and conduct project design reviews.
Qualifications:
Expertise in ICD 705 construction standards.
Familiarity with security techniques and procedures related to construction.
Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of specialized experience (CST leadership preferred) or a high school diploma with 8 years of specialized experience.
9 years of recent CST experience preferred.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication abilities.
Knowledge of security practices for various levels of construction.
