Job Description/Overview:
Famille Kakou is looking for a compassionate live-in caregiver to assist individuals with daily personal care, provide companionship, and help with household tasks. The role includes caring for children, administering medication, and assisting with mobility. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications
Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene
Help with regular exercise, such as walking
Feed or assist in feeding
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Provide companionship and personal care
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Supervise and care for children
Target Audience:
Persons with a disability
School-aged children (6-12 years)
Experience with special needs children (assistance with mobility)
Education:
College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience
Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years
Work Setting:
Work must be completed at the employer’s physical location (no remote option)
Non-smoking environment
Optional live-in accommodation available (not a condition of employment)
Salary:
$15.75 per hour
40 hours per week
Work Schedule:
Evening, Early Morning
Physical Demands:
Physically demanding, with weight handling up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
