Job Description/Overview:
The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the employer’s or client’s home. Duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing floors, vacuuming, dusting furniture, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, and doing laundry.
Key Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
Dust furniture
Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies
Make beds and change sheets
Distribute clean towels and toiletries
Stock linen closets
Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
Pick up debris and empty trash containers
Launder clothing and household linens
Mend clothing and linens
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Wash windows, walls, and ceilings
Clean changing rooms and showers
Qualifications:
No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
Experience:
Experience is an asset, but not required.
Skills:
Ability to handle repetitive tasks
Physical capability for bending, crouching, and kneeling
Able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods
