Job Description/Overview:
Prabhsimran Construction Ltd. is seeking a qualified Plumber to join their team. This position is classified as a green job due to its contribution to positive environmental outcomes and helping Canada achieve its net-zero target.
Key Responsibilities:
Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
Prepare tenders and quotations.
Instruct apprentices.
Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and fittings.
Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment.
Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
Estimate costs and materials.
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size.
Qualifications:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years.
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficiency in plumbing techniques and tools.
