Job Description/Overview:

 

The Reception and Appointment Clerk will play a vital role in managing appointments and welcoming patients to the healthcare facility, ensuring efficient operations within the reception area.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Manage the reception area and provide a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

 

Schedule and confirm appointments for patients.

 

Handle incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately.

 

Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary.

 

Process patient registrations and inquiries efficiently.

 

Assist with administrative tasks as required to support clinical staff.

 

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the reception area.

 

Provide information to patients about services and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Basic computer skills and familiarity with appointment scheduling software.

 

Experience:

 

Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

 

Skills:

 

Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.

 

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
