Job Description/Overview
The role involves directing marketing strategies, evaluating an organisation’s internet presence, and supervising marketing efforts. The position contributes to environmental sustainability as a “green job,” helping Canada achieve its net-zero target. Responsibilities include managing media relations, preparing materials for marketing, and maintaining client relationships after sales.
Key Responsibilities
– Analyse market research data to enhance business decisions
– Direct marketing strategies of establishments
– Evaluate and manage the organisation’s digital presence
– Oversee website content creation and media relations
– Hire, train, and motivate staff
– Write and edit press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials
– Plan, direct, and evaluate advertising campaigns
– Maintain and manage the digital database
– Supervise office and volunteer staff (3-4 people)
– Act as spokesperson for the organisation
– Assist in creating educational and publicity materials
Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience
5 years or more in marketing or sales roles
Skills
– Market research and strategy development
– Staff supervision and training
– Digital marketing and media relations
– Excellent written and oral communication
– Proficient in MS Office, LinkedIn, MailChimp, and related tools
