Job Description/Overview:
The Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) is part of the multidisciplinary team delivering care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of personal care activities and tasks, ensuring high standards of patient-centred and evidence-based care in a friendly and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist in delivering personal care to patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse
– Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
– Maintain high standards of care and ensure patient safety
– Accountable for your own practice while providing support to the nursing team
Qualifications:
– Strong commitment to providing compassionate and quality care
– Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Experience:
– Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required
– Understanding of basic healthcare practices
Skills:
– Ability to follow instructions and adhere to care plans
– Strong interpersonal skills to engage with patients and their families
– Adaptability to changing patient needs and circumstances
