Job Description/Overview:
We are looking for a well-organised, motivated, and enthusiastic clinician to join our team as a Band 6 Sister. This dynamic role involves delivering exceptional care and support to children and their families in a general Paediatric Ward, which includes a 5-bedded Level 1 HDU and designated teenage beds.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver high-quality paediatric care with effective leadership and management skills
– Support the day-to-day responsibilities of the ward
– Implement policies, protocols, and procedures to meet Trust and national standards
– Develop and mentor junior members of the clinical team
– Collaborate with the Band 7 Sister to ensure efficient ward operation
Qualifications:
– Registration as a nurse with relevant paediatric experience preferred
– Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience:
– Previous experience in paediatric care is desirable, but training and development will be provided
Skills:
– Excellent leadership and team-working abilities
– Compassionate approach to patient and family care
– Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of the service
