Job description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Web Content Writer in Venice, California. This role primarily involves creating engaging and informative content for our website, with a focus on the finance and insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating compelling online content, as well as experience using a variety of content management systems.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and produce high-quality, informative, and interesting content for our website.
- Collaborate closely with the graphics team to ensure the visual elements complement the written content.
- Understand and effectively communicate our brand message in a mature and professional tone.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends to ensure content is relevant and appealing to our audience.
- Use the Content Management System (CMS) to maintain and update website content.
- Utilize SEO best practices to maximize the reach and visibility of our content.
- Work with the marketing team to create content for advertisements and promotional materials.
- Use AP Style guide to ensure consistency and accuracy across all written content.
- Leverage your knowledge in finance and insurance to create content that is both informative and engaging.
- Regularly review and update existing content to ensure it remains current and accurate.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Web Content Writer or similar role
- Proficiency in Assertion Markup Language (AML)
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Knowledge and use of databases in web content creation
- Ability to create compelling editorial content
- Experience with EO/IR systems
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging advertisements
- Adherence to AP Style in writing
- Experience in blogging and creating brand awareness
- Familiarity with design controls
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong research skills
- Good organizational and time-management abilities
- Degree in Journalism, Marketing, English or relevant field.
