Job Description/Overview:
BHC is a family-run business and a leading supplier of steel work in the UK, seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will have an engineering background with experience in CNC programming and setting.
Key Responsibilities:
– Read and interpret technical and design drawings.
– Alter CAD files and create cutting paths using computer software.
– Ensure compatibility of dstv files with various machines.
– Manage material allocation and nesting through stock control software.
– Communicate project progress and collaborate with the drawing office and IT team.
– Provide holiday cover for other roles as needed.
Qualifications:
– Engineering background with CNC programming experience.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills:
– Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
– Ability to prioritise a demanding workload and build strong working relationships.
Experience:
– Experience in a manufacturing or construction business is desirable.
Job Location:
Carnwath, South Lanarkshire (Own transport beneficial due to location).
