Job Description/Overview
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for collecting and documenting user requirements, coordinating the development, installation, and integration of computer-based systems, and defining system functionality. This role involves leading teams of IT professionals, conducting tests, and performing security and quality controls to ensure robust system performance.
Key Responsibilities
– Collect and document user requirements
– Coordinate the development, installation, and integration of computer-based systems
– Define system functionality and develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation
– Develop software solutions by studying systems flow and work processes
– Research and test computer-based systems
– Lead and coordinate teams in software and integrated systems development
– Perform security and quality controls on systems
– Execute and document software and telecommunication systems tests
Qualifications
– College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
– 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in software development
Experience
– 3 to 5 years of experience in software development or a related field
Skills
– Development of computer applications
– Technical support
– Attention to detail
– Work under pressure with tight deadlines
– Client-focused and proactive
