Job Description/Overview:
TOMODA HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS INC is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse (R.P.N.) to provide nursing services across various locations. The role involves administering medications, providing technical assistance in surgeries, and monitoring patient progress. The position requires frequent travel and can lead to full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Administer medications
– Apply aseptic techniques and conduct specimen collection
– Monitor nutritional intake and infection control
– Observe and record therapeutic and side effects of medications
– Prepare patients for surgery and assist surgical teams
– Clean and sterilise the operating room and instruments
– Monitor respiratory and intravenous therapies
– Provide safety and health education
– Record patient observations and progress
– Consult with healthcare team members
Qualifications:
– College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma (1 to 2 years)
Experience:
– 2 years to less than 3 years
Skills:
– Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse
– Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
– CPR and First Aid Certificates
– Strong attention to detail and physical stamina
