Job Description/Overview:
The Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems at domestic, commercial, and industrial sites. The role involves interpreting blueprints and specifications, measuring, cutting, and installing pipes, and guiding apprentices.
Key Responsibilities:
– Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
– Repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
– Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing system layout.
– Instruct apprentices.
– Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures.
– Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and fittings.
– Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment.
– Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
– Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required size and shape.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
– Physically demanding (bending, crouching, kneeling).
– Handling heavy loads, large workloads, and working under pressure.
– Overtime may be required.
– Steel-toed safety boots are required.
Work Environment:
– Work on construction sites with no option for remote work.
Qualifications:
– Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
– Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
Salary:
– $32.50 hourly, 40 hours per week.
