Job Description:
MedGen Healthcare Ireland is delighted to announce Healthcare Assistant positions in County Dublin and surrounding counties. The role involves supporting nursing staff in providing quality person-centred care for residents. Responsibilities include assisting residents with personal care, hygiene, companionship, and social activities, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the home. The positions are available for both full-time and part-time roles, with pay ranging from €18.00 to €41.00 per hour, and an expectation of no less than 12 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Support nursing staff in delivering quality, person-centred care.
- – Provide companionship and attention to residents, addressing their interests and needs.
- – Assist residents in maintaining personal hygiene and appearance while preserving dignity.
- – Participate in and organize social activities.
- – Help maintain cleanliness standards in the home.
- – Contribute to the maintenance of health and safety in the home.
- – Perform additional duties as required by the Nurse in Charge and management.
Qualifications:
- – QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare (or equivalent) completed or in progress.
- – Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- – Valid eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
- – Driving Licence (preferred).
Experience:
- – Minimum of 1 year working in a healthcare environment.
- – Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
