Job Description/Overview:
We are looking for a full-time, permanent Sous Chef.
As the Sous Chef your role is the day-to-day running of the kitchen to ensure the delivery of high-quality catering and exceptional customer service. The position requires someone with enthusiasm, drive, and self-motivation, and who is competent in all aspects of hospitality with proven experience.
This is a senior role, and the successful candidate will be expected to operationally manage the kitchen and support the front of house on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the delivery of a high-quality food offering, exceptional customer service, business growth and profitability
- Menu development
- Train and guide the kitchen team
- Manage food safety plan
- Food safety
- Stocktake-complete stock count each month
Qualifications needed
- Level 4 Cookery NZQA or similar level professional kitchen experience
- Demonstrable customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to work under pressure
- LCQ and General Manager’s certificate is an advantage
- Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
