Job Description/Overview:
The Nursing Services Aide provides direct care and support to patients in various settings, including private homes and nursing homes. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, medical tasks, and daily activities to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling medical equipment.
– Perform patient care tasks such as taking vital signs, bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
– Serve meal trays and help with feeding patients.
– Maintain patients’ rooms and manage supplies.
– Accompany patients on recreational activities and assist with exercise routines.
– Prepare patients for surgery and perform other related duties.
Qualifications needed:
– Education: Other trades certificate or diploma (e.g., Continuing Care Assistant Certification, First Aid Certificate).
– Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience.
– Skills: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Experience:
– Previous experience in a similar role or healthcare setting is preferred.
Skills:
– Strong interpersonal skills, organizational ability, and patience.
