Job Description/Overview:
Groove, a top-rated help desk software company, is seeking a Content Writer to join their growing team. The Content Writer will be responsible for writing search-engine optimized blog posts that convert visitors into trial signups and customers. This role requires creating engaging, actionable, and conversion-focused content, ensuring it is well-optimized for search engine rankings, and continuously monitoring and updating existing content.
Key Responsibilities:
– Research and write 2-3 weekly blog posts that are engaging, actionable, and conversion-focused
– Capture and edit any screenshots needed for each blog post
– Ensure content is well-optimized for search engine rankings
– Research competitors and ensure comparisons made in articles accurately position Groove’s features and benefits
– Continuously monitor search engine rankings, updating, and optimizing existing content regularly as needed
Qualifications needed:
– BONUS: A background in customer service
– At least 2 years of experience writing professionally (in house or freelance)
– Conversion-focused writing skills that drive conversions, not just traffic
– Basic image editing skills (e.g., efficiently taking screenshots, resizing, and cropping images)
– Knowledge of SEO, including keyword research, search intent, and effective keyword usage without keyword stuffing
– Ability to optimize existing content that’s not ranking for target keywords
– Strong time management skills to juggle multiple tasks and projects, prioritizing work to meet all deadlines
– Previous freelance or remote work experience
