Job Description:
Akicita Federal, LLC is seeking a Creative Digital Content Writer with federal experience to support critical Tribal-managed projects funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). These projects include climate adaptation, ecosystem restoration, and dam safety, among others. The role involves creating compelling written content for various platforms, including reports, social media, websites, and marketing materials, with occasional travel required.
Responsibilities:
– Content Creation: Develop engaging written content for reports to the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Department of the Interior, Congress, the White House, and more. Create scripts, storyboards, and creative briefs to communicate key messages.
– Research and Strategy: Conduct thorough research to ensure content accuracy and alignment with project objectives. Implement content strategies that highlight BIA’s progress and community impacts.
– Collaboration: Work with program managers, Tribes, and internal teams to understand project objectives and develop creative solutions. Collaborate with videographers and graphic designers on cohesive campaigns.
– Content Management: Regularly update digital content to reflect BIA’s ongoing activities while maintaining compliance with BIA branding guidelines.
Requirements:
– Proven experience in creative writing, digital content creation, and communications with a strong portfolio.
– Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an engaging manner.
– Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize information from various sources.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
– Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
– Experience with brand development and content strategy is a plus.
