Whether you’re going for tourism, business, or a quick vacation, you can get your visa without visiting any embassy. Here’s how to apply in just 5 simple steps:
Step 1: Check Your Eligibility
Before you apply, confirm that you’re eligible for the Georgia e-Visa.
Nigerians and citizens of several African countries are eligible to apply online.
Visit the official e-visa portal here:
https://www.evisa.gov.ge
Click “Check your eligibility” and select your nationality to confirm.

Step 2: Fill Out the Online Application Form
Once eligibility is confirmed:

Click “Apply Now”

Fill in your personal details (name, date of birth, nationality)

Add your passport info

Enter your travel dates and purpose of visit (tourism, business, etc.)
Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your planned entry date.

Step 3: Upload the Required Documents
You’ll need to upload scanned copies of:

Passport biodata page

Recent passport-size photograph

Travel insurance
-
Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter)

Flight reservation

Proof of funds (bank statement or proof of income)
Note: All documents must be clear, readable, and in English or with an official translation.

Step 4: Pay the Visa Fee Online
After submitting the application, you’ll be prompted to pay the visa fee via credit/debit card.

The cost is around $20 USD (varies slightly depending on the visa type)

Use a valid MasterCard or Visa card
Once payment is successful, you’ll get a confirmation email with a reference number.
Step 5: Wait for Approval and Download Your e-Visa
Processing takes about 5 working days (sometimes faster).
Once approved, you’ll receive your e-Visa PDF via email. Print it out and travel with it — you’ll need to show it at the Georgian border along with your passport.
