We are currently seeking a Digital Editor to lead our daily newsletter and drive digital content strategy.

About the Role

As Digital Editor, you’ll collaborate with a team of seasoned writers to curate, edit, and publish high-quality, engaging content for a B2B audience. You’ll bring strong news judgment and business-savvy storytelling to the table, using analytics and editorial instinct to guide content decisions and support our editorial team in achieving excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Curate and manage a daily news lineup with a strong editorial mix

  • Ensure fast, accurate, and insightful coverage of breaking industry news

  • Edit and publish various content types: news, Q&As, op-eds, analysis, roundtables, strategy features, research summaries, infographics, and more

  • Write SEO-optimized headlines and display copy

  • Use audience analytics to inform content strategy

  • Optimize workflow and performance of in-house writers

  • Lead evolution of our digital content strategy and user experience

  • Develop and maintain key industry contacts to keep our content relevant and forward-thinking

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of editorial experience at a daily news outlet (online experience preferred)

  • Proven ability to manage daily news cycles and beat coverage

  • Sharp editorial voice with strong copy editing and CP Style proficiency

  • Excellent multitasking and communication skills; team leadership experience a plus

  • Familiarity with content management systems and editorial planning tools

  • Experience in business journalism and/or entertainment media is a strong asset

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role based out of our downtown Toronto office (366 Adelaide Street West, Suite 100). You will be expected to work on-site at least two days per week (Wednesdays and Thursdays).
