Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic Finance Team. This role involves preparing management accounts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support global financial operations. What You’ll Be Doing
- Weekly Bank Reconciliations: Handle multi-currency accounts across various IDBS subsidiaries.
- Corporate Current Account Reconciliation: Managing and resolving issues with cash book entries.
- Fixed Assets Register: Maintain and reconcile fixed assets, including depreciation entries and disposals.
- Prepayments & Accruals: Manage prepayments and accruals for global entities.
- VAT Returns: Assist with quarterly VAT return preparation.
- Branch Accounts: Prepare entries for France and Germany, liaising with third-party advisors.
- Intercompany Transactions: Post and reconcile intercompany journals for global entities, including transfer pricing and invoicing.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare reconciliations with relevant schedules and backup documentation.
- Commission Statements: Prepare quarterly commission statements.
- Year-End Audit: Assist in the year-end audit process and other financial reporting tasks.
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant Experience: Experience in a similar role, ideally in a SaaS company.
- Accounting Skills: Knowledge of computer-based accounting packages (NetSuite is a plus).
- Education: AAT Qualified or currently studying for CIMA/ACCA.
- Advanced Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, with excellent numerical abilities.
- Collaboration: Ability to work closely with the Global Management Accountant and cross-functional teams.
