Candidates only needed to have six months of eligible experience to be eligible for permanent residence under earlier carer immigration programs. It is anticipated that the new pathways will continue to take a simplified approach, enabling workers to swiftly obtain permanent status. However, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has not yet provided complete information on further eligibility requirements.
