About the Role
We’re looking for a Skateboarding Content Writer Intern to join our editorial team and contribute to our online content. As an intern, you will work closely with the Site Editor to lead our Skateboarding coverage, focusing on creating engaging and high-performing content that resonates with our audience. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for skateboarding and an understanding of skate culture, fashion, and trends.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, produce, and write compelling stories related to skateboarding culture.
- Regularly pitch ideas for fresh and engaging articles.
- Brainstorm and contribute to the creation of viral content.
- Oversee and help craft questions for interviews with skaters and industry figures.
- Ensure content is aligned with DOSE Skateboarding’s brand voice.
- Represent DOSE Skateboarding at events when appropriate.
Requirements
- Must have an expansive knowledge of skate culture and a true passion for skateboarding.
- Must be enrolled at university, with a preference for journalism students.
- Experience in writing for digital, print, or social platforms is a plus.
- Copywriting experience preferred.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft content that is snappy, conversational, informative, and accurate.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
