About the Role
SquaredUp is seeking a passionate and talented Content Writer for a 6-month contract to cover a team member’s sabbatical. As part of the Content team, you will help translate complex technical concepts into clear and engaging stories for our audience, creating marketing copy across multiple channels such as blog posts, case studies, landing pages, and sales enablement content.
You will play a key role in upholding the SquaredUp brand voice, ensuring consistency across all communication materials. This is a remote-first role, allowing you to work from anywhere with the option to work from one of our offices in Maidenhead, Boston, or Hyderabad.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation:
- Write and produce engaging marketing copy including blog posts, case studies, landing pages, and sales content.
- Proofread and copyedit content across a variety of platforms, including social media posts, emails, and web copy.
- Content Pipeline Management:
- Own the content creation process from initial messaging to final production, collaborating with internal subject matter experts and external sources.
- Liaise with the design team to ensure visual assets complement the written content.
- Brand Voice and Consistency:
- Ensure that all content aligns with SquaredUp’s brand voice and messaging standards across all channels.
- Content Management:
- Upload and organize content on the company website, maintaining a user-friendly and organized content library.
- AI Exploration:
- Be an advocate for exploring AI tools to enhance our content creation strategies.
Skills and Experience
- Essential:
- Strong writing skills, capable of creating both short-form and long-form content that is informative and engaging.
- Attention to detail – ensuring all content is free from errors and inconsistencies.
- Self-motivated and organized, able to manage your own workflow and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset, working effectively with different teams.
- Proficiency with modern CMS tools and project management platforms.
- Bonus:
- Degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for task management.
- Experience with Sanity CMS.
