About the Role
Lexicon Legal Content is seeking a Legal Content Writer with SEO knowledge to join our remote team. As a content writer, you will be responsible for creating accurate, compelling, and SEO-optimized content for our law firm clients’ websites. You’ll work closely with the Director of Content to ensure all submissions adhere to Lexicon’s style guidelines, editorial process, and brand voice.
This position offers a flexible schedule with pay ranging from $40.00 – $60.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Editing:
- Write informative and engaging content that adheres to SEO best practices and maximizes conversions.
- Edit and proofread content submissions, ensuring they meet Lexicon’s editorial guidelines.
- Refresh existing content to improve SEO performance and relevance.
- SEO Optimization:
- Optimize content for SEO, including keyword targeting, meta data, and overall structure.
- Add relevant images and graphics to WordPress content.
- Collaboration & Deadlines:
- Collaborate with the content team to meet deadlines and maintain a high-volume workload with quick turnaround times.
- Incorporate feedback and be open to learning new processes and tasks.
Requirements
- Writing & Editing:
- Proven experience as a content writer with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience writing in the legal space with legal writing samples to provide.
- SEO Knowledge:
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for content writing, including keyword targeting and content optimization.
- Knowledge of SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, or Surfer SEO (bonus).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in WordPress and Google Docs.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Adaptability & Flexibility:
- Coachable and open to feedback with the ability to adapt to new tasks.
- Excellent time management, organization, and critical thinking skills.
- Bonus:
- Experience with AI prompting or using tools like Copyscape.
