Position Summary
AmeriFlex is seeking a Content Marketing Writer to join their marketing team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role is responsible for creating compelling, high-quality content that supports the company’s marketing initiatives and customer communications. The ideal candidate will have experience in content development, SEO optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to drive engagement and improve content performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Development:
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and industry experts to create content for websites, blogs, email marketing, product descriptions, and videos.
- Provide writing and proofreading support across various business lines, including client communications, marketing collateral, training materials, and sales presentations.
- Editorial Planning and Coordination:
- Manage an editorial calendar to ensure timely content delivery.
- Work with external vendors on press releases, media pitches, and other external communications as needed.
- SEO Optimization and Performance Monitoring:
- Implement SEO strategies in content creation to improve search rankings and online visibility.
- Monitor content performance and provide recommendations for optimization based on KPIs.
- Brand Voice and Standards:
- Ensure all content aligns with AmeriFlex’s voice, writing standards, and brand guidelines.
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy and clarity.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Writing and Communication Skills:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to adapt to AmeriFlex’s brand voice and create engaging content for the target audience.
- Content Strategy and SEO Knowledge:
- Familiarity with content marketing best practices, including SEO principles and keyword research.
- Ability to analyze content performance data and optimize strategies accordingly.
- Project Management and Organizational Skills:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work:
- Effective team player with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Open to feedback with a growth mindset.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in content writing or marketing communications.
- A track record of producing measurable, effective content.
- Familiarity with HCM systems such as Payroll, People and Time (preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- SEO Tools proficiency (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz).
- Content Management System (CMS) experience (e.g., WordPress, Pardot).
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides).
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $50,000 – $65,000 annually with 10% annual bonus potential.
