This role is perfect for an experienced writer who excels in simplifying complex content into functional and transactional copy, while ensuring a seamless user experience.
What You’ll Do
- Write and Edit UI Content: Create clear, concise, and functional content for websites, apps, and other digital products.
- Simplify Complex Information: Break down large chunks of text into short, meaningful copy that helps users complete tasks efficiently.
- Advocate for the User: Partner closely with UX Research and UX Design teams to ensure content meets user needs and emotional state, while also achieving business goals.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work alongside UX designers, product managers, and stakeholders to maintain content accuracy and consistency.
- Develop Content Guidelines: Create and maintain content style guides to ensure a consistent voice and tone across all products.
- User Research: Conduct research to understand user needs and behaviors, adapting content strategies to optimize user experience.
- Content Inventory Management: Maintain up-to-date content inventories and libraries to ensure content is accurate and easily accessible.
- Content Strategy Development: Create templates and develop content standards and best practices for consistency across products.
- Content Implementation: Work with developers to ensure content is properly implemented in products and aligns with user experience goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Proven experience in writing functional and transactional copy, with the ability to simplify large text into clear, actionable content.
- Collaboration: Ability to partner effectively with UX Research, UX Design, and other stakeholders.
- User-Centric Approach: Strong understanding of user emotional states and how content impacts user experience.
- Technical Expertise: Experience writing for digital products such as websites and apps.
- Content Management: Ability to create and maintain content inventories, templates, and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple content projects at once.
