Job Description/Overview:

The Sales Engineer will support the sales team by providing technical expertise for pre-sales, customer calls, and product demonstrations, focusing on customers with 1,000+ users. This role involves building relationships with key customer technical decision-makers, presenting Sophos solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction through technical support and ongoing guidance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Assist the sales team with technical support for large customer accounts.

 

Build relationships with key decision-makers and recommend appropriate solutions.

 

Serve as a technical lead on Sophos products, conducting product demos, and proof of concepts.

 

Provide additional support for field sales, including RFP management, POC staging, and travel for on-site needs.

 

Promote cross-selling and portfolio expansion among existing customers through health checks and assessments.

 

Collaborate with the Channel Sales team to support indirect sales initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

 

3-5 years in a sales engineering role working with large organizations.

 

Knowledge of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Incident Response.

 

Foundational understanding of cybersecurity, including protection methods for network, cloud, and operating systems.

 

Strong verbal communication skills for product demos and customer interaction.

 

Experience:

Experience in sales engineering with a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales quotas, ideally in the cybersecurity field.

 

Skills:

 

Technical expertise in cybersecurity and incident response.

 

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical details effectively.

 

Ability to work in a team-selling environment and support channel partners.
